Crisis phone
When a person is in crisis, he or she can experience very difficult and intense emotions. Although sharing your feelings with someone you trust can be very helpful at such times, the reality is that not everyone has access to someone like that. That is why, since 1997, we have been operating a 24-hour crisis line, which provides any Latvian citizen in a crisis situation with the opportunity to receive immediate psycho-emotional support, respecting the principles of anonymity and confidentiality. The helpline is staffed by specially trained crisis counsellors, providing support and a safe way for people to share their feelings and thoughts.

Atbalsta tālrunis noziegumos cietušām personām
The aim of the Helpline is to prevent people from becoming victims of crime by increasing support for victims and promoting a fair and effective state response to crime that balances the interests of the victim, the offender and society as a whole, and to establish and develop a comprehensive victim support model for Latvia that is integrated into the European legal environment.
